How to Pick a Good Branding Domain Name For the Business
>
Beginning with a good brand-able domain name for your website is important.  A domain name would be the equal to a store name and in part, the “face” of your business, but just the face.  You know it does not have to be the perfect name,  but it should be satisfactory non-the-less.  If you can’t find one, you may want to buy one that fits best with yourself.

Creating your own web business can be quite a fun adventure. With a lot of determination and more hard work than one would like to admit, you can get your website some good quality traffic in a couple of months. If you are willing to learn and read, you can create a successful website. You do not have to be a geek and or nerd to win at this game (if you are a nerd that won’t  hurt either).

Here is a list of things to keep in mind when choosing a good domain name.

# 1 - You want your domain name to be easy to remember.

# 2 - The shorter your domain is, the better.  If possible, keep it one-to-three words long. If you can get a five or six-letter domain, you are doing good.  Four-letter domains are almost impossible to find unless you can buy one from someone else.

# 3 - A “.com” extension is a better choice to go with over a .org, .net, or .me. (Yes, there are still very good .com names out there yet, even though some may want you to believe otherwise.)

# 4 - Be careful that your words don’t "glue" themselves together, unless you want it there as a double meaning like (www.butfunny.com).  Below is an example of a poorly and glued domain.

www.exampletosee.com (Sorry to the guy that may own this domain.)

You see the “let” is glued to example and it is hard on the head to read. Its not clear because of the lack of spaces in domain name.

# 5 - Check to see how many times the word or words of your domain are typed into a search engine. The more times that your word is typed, the better.

# 6 -The domain name is just the start, though. It's only just the face of your business. Your domain name is, and will be only as good as the site you create to go with it. The content of the site will be the life of it and will make it tick or stink.

#7 - You can do something like flickr, but it has to have the goods inside for it to work "the buzz". When you are a little newbie website, having all the KEY words in the domain name has way more weight in SEO (Search Engines Optimization, Google, Yahoo, AOL and companies) than the domain name itself. The key words will help you with the SEO's, the fastest.
