Tips: Running Small Internet Business, Budget, Education, Investment

There are many other ways you can get the knowledge you need. Here is an example; in school I was taught about keeping a budget, yet it did not make sense the way it was taught to me because it did not involve my money or motivate me to keep a budget. “If you are not making money, what good is a budget?” I thought.

Then when I worked hard throughout the summer holidays to earn some of my own money, this changed. At this point, I was told by parents to save the top half of my pay first. They explained to me that my expenses were low and when the money built up in my savings, the money would go into more fruitful investments which would give me a better return on my money.

My money did eventually built up, and I invested in cattle and did very well with them. I needed a budget then, I had to pay my expenses and keep track of my income. That income paid for my insurance and the gas for my car. By the time I sold my cows, I had doubled my investment in four years. The price of the cows was cheap when I bought them, and the price was high when I sold them. That was a good investment, if only all investments were like that, but some are better that others. Some investments just lose money outright, that is life and that is how we learn what not to do.

The education I learned from the cows was scary at first as I had invested all my money into the cows, yet this was very valuable lesson to me. I gained a lot of knowledge outside of college and university. At times,  I look to books to teach me things I did not know before and to expand my knowledge. This helps to grow my own small internet business and keep it working hard for me. The three biggest secrets or tips to success is to keep a sound budget, stay organized, and keep on learning. Soon, you will be making a profit.

For someone who hated school as much as I did while growing up, this may sound odd, but education is the ticket to successfully running your own business. Even if that be a small internet business that is growing on the side while you work a job, investing in the right kind of education can be the difference breaker between success and failure. This does not mean that you have to run off to university or college to get the education necessary to become successful.
