Review Homestead Site Website Builders

You really don't need to know html code, it is very strait forward. I would say regarding knowing a little bit of html code dose on hurt in online business, but it is not required with homestead. When code is needed you will only need to know how to cut and paste.

Great support comes with when you need it from time to time. You can just pick up the phone and give them a call in about 5 min you are getting your help in need or you could just email then, its up to you what ever communication you like best.

  • Tip: When you just starting out websites, taking a brake helps, come back later when your fresh.

Now for the things I don't like about homesteads builder. Some times it has little glitches pop up from time to time like all computer programs they have there own mind at times. If you move to many peaces around on the page, I find it acts up the most. Just save often takes care of most of that.

This site builder allows you can cut and paste very easily pretty much from anywhere, from your office word, word, notepad, email ext. Just cut and paste into the text box. That is a very big time saver.

Homestead gives you a free domain or domains that saves a little. If you like more websites than you could buy from homestead. What I do is I get my domains from  www.netfirms.com  a $10 with no set up fee. Just point the domain name over to homestead.

  • Tip: Help is most often right around the corner. Sometimes its free with the package deal. At times its comes from a good friend. Sometimes you just need to figure it out with some grit and determination. Yet on occasion you will need to pay for it.

I have been with homestead for over a year now and find they do a good job in keeping up to date with the on going changes of the web.

Like any business there are hundreds of little jobs, that take a minute or longer. The same applies to websites they do take time to learn. If stick with it, you will get much faster at it. You will not learn it all in one seating, so don’t be discouraged. You can hire parts of the jobs out, that frees you up to do the thing they can’t. I would suggest though you have a basic working knowledge of the builder.

High Powered Sites

5/10 (This mark is not for lack of trying)

I don’t wont to spent time bashing someones business, so I will keep this review simple. At the time I was useing High Powered Sites there builder was not there strong point, There was to many computer programs glitches with the builder when cutting and pasting. There email setup is better than homesteads, but thats was about all. The rest is pretty much similar to Homestead. Homestead lets you download the builder to you desktop so you can work with your website off line on your PC desttop. At the time I had dialup it tide up phone for hours.

Tip: If you have more than one computer with the website builder on it, you could lose info if two of you are working on the some website. Write article using  Word or notepade ext. First save to your disktop, then cut and past from there.

Netfirms.com

2/10

A friend of mine tried netfirms builder and it could not conpete with, well you know... Homestead or High powered sites  for that matter.

I keep my domain name with Netfirms then point them to homestead. It is nice because that allows me to buy .ca,.com, .ca, .net, .org. and the rest of the extensions. This also alows me to not have all my eggs in the same basket.

The Conclusion

I use and stand behind Homesteads builder. They have the main elements that you will need from the start and in to the future.

Homestead Site Builder

9/10 (This mark means this website inkmoney.com was built with them)
I switched to Homestead from high powered sites, that was like night to day. Homestead has a way better builder.

The biggest beef I had with high powered sites was there cut and paste tools it had tunes of problems. Homestead is a pretty easy self build website builder. Thay have the tools that you are going to use.
